DescriptionThis sugar bowl was once part of a matching tea service set. The typical serviceware sets of the time included a tea urn, a coffee or tea pot, a sugar bowl, jug for cream or milk and a waste bowl. The designs on this sugar bowl, including the clawed feet and leaf-shaped elements, are consistent with the Rococo Revival style that was popular in the United States in the 19th Century.
