DescriptionThis rug is attributed in donor’s appraisal worksheet as created by Ann Begay. Several variations of this name exist, an Anna Begay can be traced to Ganado with the birth and death dates of 1933-2004. The rug was originally tethered with yarn to a frame. Ganado refers to a style of rug adopted in the 1930s by weavers who worked in red, white, black and natural grey colors, preferring a strong central motif.
