DescriptionA dark brown wooden spear carved to a point with smooth rounded shaft. The object was collected from the Melanesia area and dates back to the 20th century. The top portion of the shaft is wrapped in stiff flat fiber around the top; a 1/2'' of that section is woven. The spear point is tapered and the body is carved into uneven rigid segments.
